Seeking advice regarding tickets for live event

Hello! My partner's a big fan of Iron Maiden but I recently learned he has never seen them live. I wanted to surprise him with tickets but I have a few questions.

He plays the bass and so I imagine he would love to be somewhere he can see Steve Harris better. Does anyone happen to know whether he favours stage left or right?

I'm still new to metal and wonder what the mosh pit is like for Iron Maiden these days. I've never been in a pit before so I have no frame of reference 😅
