I don’t understand the anger/frustration from Bears fans around the DJ Moore trade
As a lifetime bears fan, who keeps up with the team every single day, I understand the emotional attachment, I’ve been a fan in all the year we were terrible, this genuinely has been the best year of my life as a fan. HOWEVER, DJ flat out makes too much money. The guy makes more money against the cap than Jettas, Drake London, Aj brown, Ceedee Lamb, etc (I understand various ages, but still). He had 682 yards this season, and while I understand there’s many mouths to feed in our offense, that’s too much money for that little production. Not to mention the fiasco with the rams game and the route. Last season it seemed Moore was already out the door and wasn’t bought in whatsoever, which did improve this year but still. I think the people criticizing poles for this move are only thinking emotionally “he made some great catches”, which I’m completely understand, but this is a business at the end of the day, and the holes in our team cannot be repaired with his contract taking up so much money (especially with the Dalman Retirement). This is also the same reason i was on board with losing Keenan last year , because I wanted Rome to shine, this gives Rome and Luther + Colston an opportunity to truly show how good they are. Overall, I just do not understand the anger behind this deal, not to mention we got a 2nd round pick too. Overall, people complaining about this move don’t really seem to have a grip on how money affects the team
