Upgrading from Specialita to P80 [$1600]

I’ve upgraded to a LM Micra about a year ago now and loving it, but my Eureka Specialita has become a real source of frustration and I think it’s finally time to move on.

I’ve done the single dose mod with the bellows, but no matter what I do the retention is genuinely terrible. The first few days after a deep clean I get incredible coffee. But within a week it starts going muddy and bitter, and I’m convinced stale grinds are working their way through regardless. It’s making it really hard to dial in consistently.

My current habits: Mainly drinking medium roasts, plus decaf regularly. Looking to explore more fruity light to medium roasts. I primarily drink milk drinks (flat white and piccolo) but the occasional black as well.

I’ve been looking at the Lagom P80 as a potential endgame grinder, and the workflow looks amazing. My main concern is whether it handles medium roasts and decaf? Most of the reviews are on lighter roasts. I’m not looking to spend much more than the P80, and also happy to go lower if there’s something equally as good including the workflow. Any input would be appreciated.
