Simply don’t care

I pass medications at a retirement home. I make enough money to live my life as I please. People always ask me when I’m going to start a career or move up in jobs. But the truth is, I have absolutely no desire to have a career of any kind. I find no pleasure in working nor do I have a passion that would create a career for me. I simply work to get paid and that’s it. People find this odd when I tell them I simply don’t care to have a career. In fact, I find the thought of going to college to be a total annoyance. People try to make me feel like I need to get motivated and work on my future. I simply don’t have the ability to care and will continue to live my life as I please even if others look at me and think I’m falling behind for my age. I hear others say they go to college because they don’t want to be stuck in the same spot all their life.

Anyone else feeling something similar to this?
