Smile still feels awkward

Hi! I am almost 3 months post op from double jaw surgery and it still feels so awkward when smiling (both with and without my teeth showing). I think right now, it's just because my upper lip is still so tight feeling. In your guys' experience, how long did it take before it started to feel natural again and for your upper lip to loosen back out? I'm not necessarily insecure about how my smile looks currently, I'm just not in love with it, but hopefully that changes the further into recovery I get.
