help me choose my first coach bag!!

I am on the lookout for a new work bag, and through my research, I feel like coach is the best way to go because I’m really looking for a longevity!

I am torn in between the black Lana shoulder bag or the Alter/Ego large tote bag. Important things to me, or I hope that I can stand up on its own (though I’m open to getting a felt insert if not), longevity, and fitting a 13” macbook.

I feel like I haven’t seen as many reviews about the alter ego tote bag, but I love how unique it looks!! Unsure if I should just order both and then return what I don’t like? Please give advice !
