Question for anyone who converted their HVAC: Gas Furnace, Heat Pump, or Both?

Hey all,

I'm looking into replace my HVAC system, and they presented the option of a duel-fuel system, which would be a Heat Pump and a Gas Furnace.

I'm only asking people who converted their systems: Which system did you go with, and did you actually lower your net bill? AKA, you were spending $1200 for heating, but it dropped to $600.
