Advice

Hey everyone! I’m going to Japan for about a month from Dec 15 - Jan 15. I’ve been a few times already and spent a lot of time in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, so I wanted to do something different this time.

The vibe: we want to be in economical cities (not $15 for a bowl of ramen) but we still want to choose cities where there is a lot to easily do whether in the city or easy day trips. Ideally, 1 ‘thing’ to do each day. ‘Thing’ being stuff like visiting a big temple, exploring a new neighborhood, visiting a nearby small town, having some cheap drinks in a bar and enjoying the nightlife, going on a hike, anything to break it up. I will be working a bit and we love the atmosphere of being in Japan as it is so it doesn’t have to be anything huge.

The gist: Dec 15-19 Tokyo (get acclimated, have the city buzz) Dec 19-27 Nagano (I’ve heard this is cozy Christmas vibes, slow pace as we have hobbies) Dec 27-Jan 5 Nagoya (bigger city for NYE fun) Jan 5-14 Fukuoka (an easy affordable spot)

Be honest- how would you rate this route? Do you think we will be okay and get what we are looking for out of this?

THANK YOU JAPAN EXPERTS!
