Dog chewed cable, is there anything I can do?

Was playing RE8 and my puppy got a hold of the cord and chewed it to the point where it wont receive power unless I find the perfect angle and then it cuts out again if I try to tape it with electrical tape. it also seems to be heating up around the chew mark when its plugged in.

Is there anyway I can replace the usb cord? Or do I just have to buy a new one
