Question for Those Who Combine Their Clay Work into Fiber Arts (needlefelting, sewing, etc)

I work in fiber arts (needle felting, embroidery etc) and also do a little sculpting. I want to explore putting the two together but I’m stymied on the best way to combine the two.

How do you connect your clay elements to your felting work?
