Opening Flesh Door with bombs

Title pretty much explains itself.

I started playing Isaac this summer and i got the Repentance DLC a bit before Rep+ came out. I don't know if it was consequence of something else i didn't notice or if i just tweaked and made up a memory but i recall being able to open the flesh door with two bombs.

If i remember correctly i didn't have the knife completed so i would argue that it couldn't have been that.

Did this happen to someone else and if so, is it documented/recorded? I've had this doubt for months and i'd like to know if i'm completely schizo or not.
