[F4A] Grim Fantasy — Witcher Universe
I am 18+, and all characters and participants will also be 18+.
I’m looking for a long-term roleplay set in the harsh, morally grey world of The Witcher, and I am specifically seeking a writing partner who wants to play a Witcher. Your character can be canon-inspired or entirely original, as long as they are unmistakably a Witcher shaped by the Path, its violence, and its cost.
This will be a character-driven story where we each create and write our own characters. Our characters do not need to travel together permanently or at all. Their paths may cross briefly, collide violently, intertwine romantically, or drift apart only to reconnect later under very different circumstances. The structure is flexible and guided by what best serves the narrative.
My character can be a mage, healer, cursed soul, noble, criminal, mercenary, or something more unconventional, while yours remains a Witcher navigating monster contracts, political manipulation, and personal demons. Their journeys may run parallel or opposing, shaped by war-torn kingdoms, cursed forests, court intrigue, and the ugly truths beneath heroism.
Possible themes and tropes I’d love to explore include, but are not limited to:
• The healer paired with the weapon
• The failed chosen one
• A character who never knew kindness
• A magic user bound by a curse
• The soft love interest of a villain
• An unusual or politically motivated marriage
• An unlikely match forged through necessity rather than trust
The world offers no shortage of danger or temptation. A secretive dryad guarding ancient woods, a villager hiding a deadly truth, a loyal yet burdened companion, a seductive and predatory vampire in the shadows, or a bard whose songs reveal more than they should. Any of these may test, challenge, or complicate a Witcher’s path.
All encounters, dynamics, and pacing are open for discussion. Whether relationships build slowly through tension, unravel through angst, or ignite in moments of reckless passion, we’ll decide together what best fits the story 😉
We can both play multiple side characters as needed, contributing to world-building and shaping the narrative collaboratively while staying true to the brutality, emotional weight, and moral complexity of the Witcher universe.
What I’m looking for in a partner:
• 21+ writing partner
• Playing a Witcher character
• Third-person perspective
• Advanced literate writing
• Interest in a wide range of scenes
• Strong elements of romantic tension, angst, drama, action, and moral conflict
• Flawed, imperfect, morally grey characters
• Willingness to collaborate on world-building and story development
• Open OOC communication
If this sounds like the kind of dark fantasy you’d enjoy, reach out and let’s see where the Path leads.
