Timeline

07/23/2025 – I-130 filed. Received receipt notice.

07/28/2025 – I-485 and I-765 mailed through USPS with:

•	I-130 receipt notice

•	G-1450 (credit card payment form)

•	G-1145 (text/email notification form)

07/28/2025 – Package delivered.

07/30/2025 – Card charged but no text notification received.

08/04/2025 – Received mailed receipt notices.

(Notice says case received 07/29 and receipt notice sent 07/31.)

08/04/2025 – Received notice scheduling biometrics.

08/04/2025 – Biometrics rescheduled to an earlier date.

08/06/2025 – Request for Initial Evidence (RFE) for medical exam.

Through research I realized we should have submitted the medical exam (I-693) with the packet. I tried to intercept the package but it was already delivered, so I completed the medical exam immediately in anticipation of an RFE.

08/06/2025 – Sent medical exam through USPS.

08/07/2025 – Completed biometrics.

08/07/2025 – Case status changed to “Case is Being Actively Reviewed.”

08/18/2025 – USPS delivered RFE response.

08/21/2025 – USCIS confirmed they received the RFE response.

01/28/2026 – Interview scheduled.

03/05/2026 – Interview at 8:00 AM.

Officer said he reviewed all of our documents and evidence and everything looked great. He told us we would be approved and that the card should arrive in 1–2 weeks.

03/06/2026 – Case approved online.

Evidence Submitted

Joint documents:

• Lease in both our names

• Joint bank account

• Joint car insurance

• Renters insurance

• Joint phone bill

• 2026 joint tax return

Relationship evidence:

• Photos with family

• Vacation documentation

• Months of bank statements

• Phone statements

Additional:

• Name change applications

• Insurance listing spouse as beneficiary

Advice

Submit the medical exam (I-693) with the original packet if possible to avoid delays.

Also continue uploading new evidence while the case is pending if your relationship grows (more statements, trips, etc.).
