Nanananana batman!

Maybe this is a bit crackpot but...

I just finished rewatching The Batman and suddenly SJM saying she wrote parts of the next book to that soundtrack feels way more interesting than I expected.

The whole movie is:

dark

slow‑burn intense

moody

gritty

emotionally heavy

very “characters dealing with their own shadows”

Who on earth could this next book be about!? 😉

Also, the soundtrack itself is super interesting. There’s a lot of industrial, club‑style beats mixed with the tragic orchestral stuff. It made me think about how much SJM uses music as emotional shorthand for her characters.

And as a wee side note:
Bryce calling Azriel a “club rat” and the two of them liking similar music suddenly feels… a little more pointed when you remember the soundtrack she was writing to has this shadowy vibe with a mix of club music. Especially since her recent post had a music emoji in it too.

Not saying it means anything, as we truly know nothing.. just something fun to think about.
