All MD interviews are waitlists
I am fortunate enough to have a DO acceptance, which I am immensely grateful for, but have 7 MD waitlists. I only applied in-state (TX).
I know that this is a bit tone deaf, and I apologize, but I sorta feel a bit discouraged. This was my first cycle and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of interviews that I had gotten. I couldn't believe that my hard work was finally paying off! Coming in, I tried not to set high expectations for myself, but having so many interviews gave me false confidence. I thought that I did well with my interviews, but ig not. Knowing the results, it seems that maybe I should've practiced more. It's not the end of the world, and the school that accepted me is awesome! However, I can't help but wish that I did better on my interviews.
I've been reading that Texas is notorious for not having a lot of waitlist movement, so I am trying not to keep my hopes up. I'm so sorry again, if this comes off wrong, just wanted to write things out.
