Developing a Plan

I'm Canadian, 23m. I'm currently working (little over a year now) and have my bachelors in automation engineering technology. I have some interest in eventually moving to the US and seeking PR or even dual citizenship, so I'm looking for some guidance on the goals I should set or things I should take into consideration. For example, I understand that after a few more years of work an L1 or H1-B visa would be my best paths forward (or maybe doing a masters program? I was considering going for it anyways), but anything I should do to improve my profile would be greatly appreciated.
