Stupid Question (forgive me): To increase speed output on an electric scooter it is as simple as changing out the controller?
I'm looking to get an e-scooter minibike. Specifically looking at the Caroma D3 1200w.
The Amazon description shows it tops out at 20mph but I'd like at least 30mph, perhaps even 35mph if possible.
After doing a bit of YouTube research, it is as simple as removing the stock controller and installing an aftermarket 1000W-1500W brushless motor controller to support the higher motor wattage?
It seems the stock controller limits the output of the motor, where as if you install a higher wattage rated controller, it would allow for more power output of the motor?
Am I understanding this correctly? Again, forgive me but I'm relatively brand new to electric scooters/bikes.
