Rescuing two old VHR

Hi guys, I am trying to make work to old VHS player for my grandma. One of them worked perfectly this morning, but now when in insert the VHS the machine defaults to standby, if Y press any key (play, pause or rewind) the tape runs for 2 seconds and defaults again to standby, the tape works in the other VHR, I cleaned already the rubber cilinder inside with isopropyl alcohol. The second VHR outputs audio but not video, I assumed because the headers where dirty, I have been cleaning thoroughly (like 150 spins) and now I have some image, even a little bit of color. What do I do? I am a total newbie with these machines
