Package never scanned?

So I sent off a usps package to a postman Joe (post office where they accept all usps ups fedex) but they don’t usually give receipts or scan the usps packages. It was a longchamp bag I sold for $90 and till this day it still says label created. It’s been over a month and I’m still tracking the package to see if it moves so I can reroute it back to me since I refunded the buyer but why did this happen? USPS can’t help me without a receipt and the post office told me it was 100% picked up by the usps truck and they must have forgotten to scan it.
