29M - Looking for one real friend who actually stays
Hi, I'm 29, Brazilian, living in Brazil. I'm a nerdy homebody who's quietly building toward something bigger with technology - someday I want to conquer the world, and honestly, it would be better with someone by my side doing it together.
I'm cheerful more often than not, though I have my darker days like anyone - what matters is that I show up regardless. When something or someone matters to me, I become completely focused on it. That's just how I'm wired.
A little about me:I'm 177cm tall, moreno, calm and attentive. I've never traveled to other countries before. English isn't my first language, so I appreciate patience - I did my best to make this post readable, but my grammar might not be perfect in conversation.
I love technology, science, space, nature, cats, documentaries, sci-fi, and anime. I work in tech and I'm drawn to retro-futurism, cyberpunk, gothic aesthetics, medieval fantasy - Fallout, Star Trek, Alien. I can jump from space exploration to ancient history to technology, all in the same conversation. Music-wise, I listen to whatever my mood calls for - soundtracks, classical, or something completely random.
Fair warning: I will absolutely send you cat videos at 3am and random technology facts you didn't ask for. Consider yourself warned.
I'm an extrovert online but an introvert in real life - I come alive in conversations through text or calls, but in-person social settings drain me. I don't drink or smoke, and I'm not into sports, parties, or concerts. I prefer quieter meaningful connections over loud social scenes.
What am I looking for? One person - just one. A real friend who could become the most important person in my life. Someone to build our own little world with - where "you shouldn't go through this alone" is just how we operate.
What does talking to me actually look like? Random voice calls just to chat. "I saw this and thought of you" messages at any hour. Good morning and good night as a natural beginning and end of our day. Suddenly bringing up a deep topic out of nowhere and then switching to something completely silly five minutes later. Sharing pictures, memes, random images. Watching series together, listening to music, supporting each other, and growing closer every day.
I tend to get attached - genuinely, deeply attached - and I'm not ashamed of that. I'm drawn to people who are more comfortable online than in loud rooms, who open up slowly but fully once trust is built. The kind of person who needs that one real connection they can count on completely.
What I value: Honesty - not just being truthful but following through. If you say you'll do something, do it. If you can't, just tell me why. I can handle honesty. I can't handle silence.
Reciprocity - I give a lot when I care about someone, and I need someone who gives back naturally. Not keeping score, just... mutual.
When I ask "how are you?", I genuinely want to know. I want updates, I want to know how things turned out. I'm actively present, not passively supportive. I love to reason and philosophize - give me a good topic and I'll happily go down that rabbit hole with you.
Why this matters to me: I was abandoned when I was 3 years old and grew up without a real family. I've been completely alone for over 10 years - no relatives, no safety net, no one to call. I'm not saying this for sympathy - I'm saying it so you understand why I am the way I am. I don't fully understand people who have family - it's never been part of my world. I've learned that strangers can treat you better than family ever did. When I find someone real, I protect that with everything I have.
I want to create a space where you can be completely yourself - no pretense, no filters, no judgment. We can talk about the deep stuff that keeps you up at night, or the light stuff that just makes you laugh.
If you're between 20-34 and this resonates - send me a message. Tell me a bit about yourself, what caught your attention in this post, or just send me a song that's been stuck in your head. Don't overthink it - just reach out.
Maybe that's you.
