Is it a good idea to confessor my parents Ive Been self harming?

13 M . Ive been cutting for a long time and I want to get help . What is a good way to approach this? . My parents aren’t strict . But I feel nervous telling them :( . Any advice from people who have told there parents about there self harm ?
