Are eldrazi really that good or am i simply building a bad deck?
I am new to commander and i am trying to build an ulalek deck.
I have seen some lists and all the high sinergy cards on edhrec. The main problem is that it seems very difficult to create a mana curve that resembles a Gaussian as all the good stuff is very expensive in terms of mana. Most of the times, lists i have seen try to put as many big bosses as possible, creating this bad curve.
My question is, is it possible that the only win conditions in ulalek are the eldrazi titans? Aren't there alternative win conditions?
Right now, i am trying to build a deck based on a different point of view with respect to "win with just big bosses" but i am not sure it works.
The idea of the deck is to ramp hard and then use ulalek to copy eldrazi spells, in this way i could create a mana curve which is more similiar to a gaussian (to improve the possibility to play every turn). For this reason i tried to go hard on big creatures which are not the titans (beause they can be copied as they are legendary and cheaper) and i tried to put some ramp + draw engine to make everything faster.
Still i tried it few times in goldfish and i saw it was not that efficient/fast to close or get something big. So what i want to ask is, do you believe this build is just bad? Do you have any advice on how to improve it? Should i simply give up this idea and go hard with big titans?
