My account payouts have been put on hold just before my credit card bill is due. A customer service representative said it will automatically return to normal after 5 days. Is this true? My credit card bill is due in 6 days.
I have never missed a credit card bill and always pay my balance in full. Recently, eBay has disrupted my finances. I had built up a sizeable balance of a few thousand pounds, and now I’m unable to withdraw it.
When she says it will “automatically return to normal,” it feels like something people are told rather than something that is actually true. I don’t know why my account has been put on hold, but can they really keep my money from me? It feels suspicious that this has happened at the exact time my balance is the largest it has ever been. I was just waiting for two more sales to be paid in so I could withdraw everything at once.
I also feel like I’ve read horror stories about people having their funds taken by eBay after their accounts were shut down while they still had a balance. I’m hoping that might just be a false memory.
As far as I know, I’m an excellent private seller who has only recently started doing really well. I have 100% feedback and I’m always polite and helpful with both buyers and sellers. Because of that, I have no idea what this could be about. I’m extremely nervous about the situation. Shaking like a leaf
