During the Tigray genocide, the EOTC raised funds in order to contribute toward it. This is the letter of Abba Elias, archbishop of the EOTC in Sweden and Scandinavia, that called on his fellow Christians to donate at least SEK 1,000 (109 dollars) each to help the Ethiopian army.
