Fallout New Vegas Performance on Mac

I'm running Fallout New Vegas via Crossover 26 on my 2020 M1 MBP. I have also installed NVSE, 4GB patch, borderless window mod and NVTF. The game runs, but the performance is poor. Under D3DMetal (For some reason I can't enable Metalhud, not sure if it's because the game is old, so I don't have a accurate FPS number), the games runs with significant stutter at "High Quality" preset, and is only somewhat acceptable under "Low" preset, but still with visible lagging and is most certainly not smooth. Changing the resolution on the other hand doesn't seems to affect it much (possibly due to the borderless window mod). Is this all I will get with my current hardware, or are there still ways to boost the performance?
