Mimosa

I know some of you have gotten some joy out of seeing our new additions to our farm lately. We recently hatched and adopted two emus-- Waffles, our boy, and Mimosa, our girl.

Mods, feel free to remove if you want, but I wanted to let those who enjoyed seeing the birds know that Mimosa passed away. We moved them outside last week, and something (we think a raccoon) got to her.

We are heartbroken, and Waffles was found cuddling her. I never thought that I would care so deeply for a bird that I have only known for two weeks.
