I was thinking the other day about how cool it would be to have an Overwatch/Marvel Rivals-like game but with Naruto characters. You could have soo many cool and fun abilities, and I would even do my best to keep the OP ones OP because I think that's what would make them fun. I started a prototype with Sasuke's Amenotejikara, Amaterasu, and Chidori (I have pretty much no game development experience lol).

Here are some other ideas I had that I thought would be fun (some more refined than others):

\### Naruto
\- Has a lot of health and chakra, especially when he ults (aka kurama)
\- He can create shadow clones that can attack and distract enemies, but they have low health and damage. They can also be used to scout and take objectives. Every shadow clone uses chakra, and they can be recalled to give Naruto a burst of chakra. We can look into how Loki's clones work in Marvel Rivals for inspiration.
\- Can restore health by using his chakra to heal himself. This can be a good way to sustain in fights, but it also leaves him vulnerable if he runs out of chakra.
\- His ultimate is Kurama mode, where he gets a huge boost to his health and chakra, and his attacks do more damage. He also gets a speed boost and can jump higher.
\- The Kurama "cloak" acts as a shield that absorbs damage. Once the cloak is broken, Naruto takes damage to his health.
\- Rasengan: a bit like a rocket punch.
\- Rasen-shuriken: a bit like a grenade that explodes on impact, dealing damage in an area. It can also be thrown in the air and then detonated, allowing for some interesting vertical gameplay. One fun idea would be to allow Sasuke to use his transportation ability to switch places with the rasen-shuriken, allowing for some interesting combos and mobility options.
\- Fun passive feature idea: talk no jutsu —> the opponent exactly facing naruto gets a debuff on damage and attack speed?
\- Is a support dmg tank mix all-rounder hero
\- Maybe can share his chakra while in Kurama mode, giving a buff to allies around him?

\### Sasuke
Should feel like an agile character in general, double jump, wall run, fast running speed?
\- Left click - Sword
\- Right click - Chidori --> Somewhere between Genji's shift and Reinhardt's shift
\- It's charged when right click is held down. While charging, Sasuke can move around but at a slower speed. The longer it’s charged, the more damage it does and the farther it goes.
\- When released, Sasuke dashes forward in a straight line, dealing damage to the first enemy hit. If it hits an enemy, it stuns them for a short duration. If it hits a wall or reaches its maximum range without hitting anything, it just ends there.
\- E - Amaterasu
  \- Burn damage over time
\- It literally does not stop until the affected person dies
\- It doesn’t have an extra effect if you use it on someone who’s already affected by it
\- There needs to be some support/skills that can remove effects including this
\- It reduces your vision a little every time you use it
\- If it’s used on a shield or defensive thing, it burns that instead of damaging the health
\- Shift - Amenotejikara
\- Can be used on allies, enemies, interactable items, and maybe even some projectiles (like Naruto’s rasen-shuriken)
\- If it’s a team mate, they have to “accept/confirm”
\- Ultimate - Kirin
\- Pretty much the ultimate of Moonknight from Marvel Rivals but with lightning.

\### Shikamaru
Probably more of a support/strategist hero
\- Left click is just throwing kunai
\- Right click throws a parachute kunai which can be used to extend shadow paralysis range. It can also be detonated to reveal a bomb kunai.
\- Shift - Shadow paralysis
This should be a bit like moving a drone with its controls (junkrats ult)
Every time it connects, its range resets so it can connect to multiple enemies.
\- E - Area shadow paralysis --> does a quick burst of shadow paralysis in an area around him. It can be used to quickly connect to multiple enemies that are close to him.
\- More people it connects, more chakra it consumes
\- Once it connects, neither Shikamaru nor the affected enemy can move. They can only use abilities that don't require movement (like Naruto's shadow clones or Sasuke's amaterasu, or Shikamari can detonate a parachute kunai if it's already mid-air). This can be used to set up combos with allies, or to isolate and take out a single enemy. It can also be used defensively to protect an ally or to escape from a dangerous situation. The affected enemy can still use abilities that don't require movement, but they can't move or attack, which can be a huge disadvantage in a fight.
\- Can hold the shadow paralysis as long as he has chakra
\- Doing any attack breaks the shadow paralysis

\### Sakura
Support, healer, taijutsu

\### Kabuto
Support, some heal, but more importantly, has edo tensei!! (--> Mercy's resurrect?)

\### Gaara
Tank, has the sand stuff as a shield (maybe always-on?

I want to make a Naruto based hero-shooter 😭
