Hippokamp or Thunderbold Wolves

I'm pretty new, about a week or two into playing and my farthest push is elly mode 1120. The only troops used rn are PK and DR. I saw suggestions on pushing to use archers like TW but then another about how Hippo is a better TW. I knows that hippo is beter for things like divine trials, but if I'm focusing on pushing should I still go hippo or TW?
