I’m Very Behind in the Game — and That’s Actually Great
I’ve been playing a lot these past few days and I’m honestly impressed by how vast the game is and how many possibilities it offers. You go out to do a small task for one Pokémon and suddenly several other things appear along the way, which makes the experience feel like a series of little adventures rather than a checklist.
What really surprised me is how much you start to care about the habitats and the Pokémon living there. You end up developing a real sense of empathy for them, and that connection feels much deeper than something like the villagers in Animal Crossing.
One thing that helped me enjoy the game even more was stopping watching YouTube videos about progression, maps, Dream Island, and similar content. Those videos can make you feel like you’re behind and that you need to rush, but this game really feels like the opposite of that.
Now I mostly just turn on my Switch and play without worrying about what I should be unlocking next. And honestly, that has made the whole experience much more fun.
