Dog shit bonanza

Hello, just moved here and I'm genuinely curious if all the un-picked-up dog shit is just a winter phenomenon, or something we'll have to watch for during the rest of the year.

Like has it all just been hidden in snow banks all winter or does nobody here pick up after their dog? Are certain neighborhoods better than others in this respect? (I ask cause we are still in the AirBnB and looking for a rental)
