How to get Claude to default to PDF or HTML vs React (free mode)

Hi all - Claude newbie (both my husband and I) and we are noticing a difference - his Claude will automatically create him beautifully formatted PDFs, while mine makes these weird "React" tables of code, which I don't know what to do with and don't want (I don't code, and I am just asking for tables, etc for personal use). Anyone know why his is doing this and mine is making these code tables? Do I have to just ask it to make my visuals in a different format?
