Anyone ever get surprised and upset when they finish a book even though you had previously known how many books there were?? Or is just me being starved for content I enjoy?

Just random thought after getting up to date on a series, brain craving the next part of the journey and then boom! Gotta wait 6 months for the next book to come out, then you're left depressed until you can find something else to catch your eye.
