Why are people grieving on Renu Dahal's loss?

I understand that she has been a good mayor. But I honestly think Sobita is a deserving and more capable among them. I think Renu fumbled here by resigning from mayor and deciding to contest in the election. She was a good executer but people didn't see her as equally capable lawmaker.
