I unfortunately do not have full body photos from even my bday when I turned 20 because I was so insecure and this is the closest I’ve to those photos.

My highest weight was 131 kgs and had gastric sleeve at the age of 23 in April 2024. Anyway I turned 25 last week and I’m 57 kgs now. Just 2 kgs away from my goal weight. And it’s really a pinch me moment because I never thought I would ever be able to see how I look at my goal weight because ofcourse I could never get there. I mean how many people lose 70+ kgs?

I was so so terrified that I would spend the entirety of my youth feeling like my life is on “pause” because I couldn’t do most things. I am a doctor now and I remember being a medical student and even the biggest scrubs being too tight in the hospital, going to norway and chasing northern lights and not being able to fit into their biggest thermal and knowing if I ever went to Australia I would never qualify for skydiving, I would get tired after 2 flights of stairs, I was 23 with borderline cholesterol, I felt like I was chipping away at my youth.

Anyway I’m 25 now and wear a size XS/S, I can pick anything off the rack without being stressed I wouldn’t have options, I go to Pilates thrice a week, I love moving my body, I love the freedom my body allows me and the mental weight off me.

Not a lot of people can say they’ve lost more weight than they currently weigh and I’m so proud I can say that and I couldn’t have done it without gastric sleeve if you’ve doubts go for it, it’s the best thing I did. My only regret is I wish I would have done it at 20 <3
