Hi guys!

TL:DR - [here](https://rafalpilaczynski-coder.github.io/coffee_flavour_circle/) is the app/webpage you could use to track what coffee you drink, what method, what grinder and what do you feel and rate that. It stores this data and has built in small algorithm to help you move with coffee brewing into the right direction.
It is open source, completely free and still WiP. I am willing to get roasted if it sucks/is unusable and I would take all constructive criticism. It is possible to be downloaded as an app for Android and iPhone if needed, but I recommend web browser for starters :)
Important: I am not software developer, just a hobbyist.

Longer info
Long time lurker here. I wanted to share with you a project I was doing in a free time for past few weeks combining 2 hobbies I am hyped about the most at the moment - alternative coffee brewing and LLM usage (to get the ideas I was not able to chase before due to lack of programming skills before the age of AI).

The background of the story is - I am in the coffee hobby for 6 years now. I know for some time already what I like and what I don't. However, I was always missing some vocabulary when I was talking with friends about what do I feel in my mouth. The descriptors on the coffee bags were also misleading me a lot.
In my research and after reading quite fantasting book How To Taste Coffee I found that after some experiments to name the basic tastes the looking at SCA tasting coffee wheel while drinking helps me to put my fluffy feelings into concrete places. Like to name this random-fruit-I feel a strawberry and then to get more tasteful feelings of strawberry being more conscious (or oblivious/biased but who cares).
As I found looking at the book with this coffee wheel while drinking quite unpractical I decided I would buy a poster for a kitchen with that wheel. My wife said clear NO for that in apparently HER kitchen, so I dedicate this app to her :D

The baseline features:
- you record coffee, method, grinder settings, ratio etc.
- you select frangrance aroma from predefined options
- you define what flavors do you feel while tasting from SCA wheel (2 layers as of now for simplicity)
- you put overall score for enjoyment + base tastes score + notes
- if you score low for the overall pleasure and for example high on bitterness it would recommend you brewing settings change based on coffee brewing 101 chart (less extraction, lower temp etc)
- it is kept in the history for future reference
- you can put your own grinder and it keeps track on the last grinder setting so it is easy to tweak your own stuff (that is my favourite feature in fact)

In the future I would like to:
- add 3rd (outermost) layer of the wheel
- add advanced brewing options (like filters selection, exact brewing methods step by steps etc)
- give some mildly interesting stats/trends from all the coffees I brewed (e.g. you like your coffee more with high temp water and low coffee:water ratio or if you keep drinking so much coffee and your average bag costs 20$ you would get broke in 5 years)
- normalize grinders' settings so the language of the grind size would be in microns and not "commandante clicks". I know it oversimplifies the topic (skipping the particle size distributions), but I find it hard to understand recipes people give me when using different grinders (and I don't always remember to get on this one website with grinder converter)
- make logo and graphics less Windows 95 like :p

This app serves me for coffee brewing and fun development moments after hours, so I would never call it a waste, but if it would be fun for use of at least one person apart from me I would be even happier
