My brain decided that today was the perfect day to completely short circuit over a google calendar notification
Okay so i have this thing where i set reminders for literally everything because otherwise it just doesn't exist in my head. Appointments, laundry, drinking water, you name it. And today i got a notification that said "call dentist" and I KNOW i set that reminder like three weeks ago and i know i still haven't called and something about seeing it pop up on my screen at 9am while i was trying to get ready for my 9:30 lecture just broke something in my brain entirely.
I stood in my kitchen for a solid ten minutes holding my toothbrush just staring at the wall. Not calling the dentist. Not finishing getting ready. Just staring. And then i snapped back and realized i was gonna be late so i grabbed my bag and ran out and the whole bus ride i could not stop thinking about the dentist reminder and why i can't just do the one simple thing.
At some point i started mentally listing every other thing i've been avoiding for weeks and now i'm sitting in the back of the lecture hall pretending to take notes but actually writing this becuse i need to put it somewhere outside my own skull. The notification is still there btw. I snoozed it for "later today." We all know what that means.
