The return of Akame ga Kill

⚠️ATTENTION AKAME GA KILL FANS ⚠️

Today was the MinatoSoft livestream where Takahiro shared a few words. Although the event was meant to show appreciation for Mato Seihei no Slave (Chained Soldier), the chat was undeniably flooded with the word "Akame" and sword and blood emojis. While Takahiro wasn’t there in person, he sent a letter featuring these specific words:

"As we approach the end of this month [March], I feel it is time to look back at everything we have built. Fans are always asking me about 'that story' that remains engraved in their hearts, and I can only say that the team and I are listening very closely."

It was announced that for Summer 2026, there will be a special merchandising collaboration between MinatoSoft and several Square Enix licenses. They didn't confirm the titles, but they displayed a slide with blurry silhouettes. Fans in the YouTube chat immediately began shouting, "That’s Akame’s Teigu!" because one of the shadows clearly looked like the hilt of a katana.

As I mentioned, the chat was incredibly active. When the presenters read the part about "listening closely," the screen filled with sword emojis and Akame’s name. The hosts simply smiled and remarked, "Wow, there’s a lot of energy in the chat today!" They didn't cut the comments or ignore them, which is a sign they have permission to let the topic circulate.

In Short:

They didn't explicitly say "There will be a Remake" today, but Takahiro confirmed he is listening and knows exactly what we are asking for. The wall of silence has finally started to crack.
