20F with body image issues hoping for some help
Hi! I am a 20-year-old woman. Last summer I went through a difficult period, I lost 8 kilos, I was very thin, with no energy. My mental health is a little better now, but another problem has arisen: unfortunately, I preferred the appearance of my sick body. I'm studying performing arts, I dance 10 hours a week, and as a result, I spend most of my time in front of a mirror. My hatred of my body takes up so much space that it has a negative impact on my performance as a dancer (btw, I weigh 108 pounds and am 5ft with 18% body fat, so nothing particularly worrying on the scale, I know). I do three weight training sessions and two running sessions per week, and I try to eat right (even though I have a problem with peanut butter, haha) and sleep well. My ballet teacher even asked me to love myself, because she noticed that something was wrong and that I had lost my sparkle (without me mentioning it to her beforehand). My biggest dream would be to feel better about my body by May 23, because I have a very important performance coming up, and there's no way I want my hatred of my body to ruin it.
Do you have any advice?
