Ellaone 12hrs before doctor confirmed “the ovulation happens today”

New to this and not really sure. Currently not wishing to have children, methods I am using: FAM (beginner) and condom 100% of the time

Yesterday evening me and my longtime boyfriend had sex, he came inside and after sex we realised the condom was broken at the tip the entire time (heard a quiet pop at the start of but dismissed it as we 100% of the time hold the tip and put on the condom properly). 3hrs after the sex i took the ellaone pill. Ovulation tests done yesterday were negative,( today as well) sore breasts and high temp were present plus i have no discharge. i went for a pelvic ultrasound today morning and the doctor said there is a 16mm ovarian follicle and that the ovulation is today. did Ellaone have any effect since it only works by delaying ovulation? Sorry for any mistakes but I’m in a terrible mental state (hard financial situation as I am freshly done with my college and with no familial support ) and can’t think clearly
