Brunch Spot Recommendations

I want to take my father out for brunch for his 72nd birthday on a Friday late morning. He loves all kinds of cuisines, but he appreciates a calm and artistic atmosphere. He doesn't mind music as he is a musician, as long as it isn't blaring while we try to talk. Live music is a plus, though I know that may be hard to find on a weekday.

Any suggestions for a good brunch spot? Price range would be $10-30 per person. We haven't lived in Astoria in quite a long time, so the only spot I remember that is still open is the OG Bel-Aire Diner. 😅 I don't want to go there, though.
