Can't find a good church

I live in downtown in a big city and I just moved here. It seems like every church that I go to has like this kind of fake Christian culture where everybody's trying to be a celebrity. I mean some people are nice but the vibe is just not Godly. I don't know how to explain it, but if you ever been to a church that's not really on fire for God or led by someone who's not really following God, then you get this vibe of like cheap. Something is off. When you talk to people you get a look of ok with a hint of contempt (especially when you open up).

Am I being too picky or do you guys have this as well?
