Posted our pricing publicly after hiding it for 5 years. Pipeline increased 35%.

For 5 years our pricing page said "contact us for pricing." Standard enterprise SaaS playbook. Qualify leads through sales conversations. Control the pricing discussion.

Finally got tired of the low-quality conversations this created. Prospects would talk to us before knowing if we were even in their budget. Sales spent time with companies that could never afford us.

Posted pricing publicly. Tiers, prices, what's included. Anyone can see what we cost before talking to sales.

Results after 6 months:

Pipeline volume: up 35%. Apparently people who previously bounced from "contact us" pages are now engaging.

Lead quality: significantly higher. People reaching out have already seen the price and decided it's reasonable.

Sales cycle: shortened by about 20%. Less time spent on pricing discovery, more time on value discussion.

Win rate: roughly unchanged.

The objection to public pricing is that it limits your ability to charge more to larger customers. We handle that with an "Enterprise" tier that says "contact us." Most customers self-select into the public tiers. The ones who need custom pricing still reach out.

If you're hiding pricing out of habit rather than strategy, consider publishing it.
