Toileting - need advice

Hey guys

My cocker spaniel is now 7 months. She has been toilet trained since she was 3 months. She has a bell and rings it when she wants to go pee or poo in our balcony.

So heres the issue - spring is coming and we would like to reclaim our balcony. Every spring/summer we put nice chairs, plants, and normally we have dinners out in our balcony in some summer evenings. We live in a flat in London just me and my fiancee.

Am I sensible if I get my puppy the fake grass from amazon so she can pee there? And shall I just take my pup straight downstairs every time shes woken up from sleep to enforce her pooping? It’s the pooping that’s my issue…
