Commerce or science? (From 10th to 11th going)

I know that 10th boards, 12th board, ipmat exam and the interview are treated heavily to get into a good college. I just want to know how important the board marks are because if that is the case than taking commerce will probably be better and if going with science stream , the one advantage you have is let's say you are enrolled in JEE coaching it will help you to develop your mathematical skills which plays a huge part in the ipmat exam but that does outweigh the board marks you score in 10th and 12th. If I go with JEE now I can't write second board exam for 10th as my maths board exam went a bit mediocre and probably will not score 95%+ and it will become tougher to score that same mark in science stream in 12th . If I take commerce it will become relatively easy but your maths can be bit weak and also the scope will be trimmed as if IPMAT is not cleared there is not really that good college ( CUET exam is there but competition there is also more). So I would like to hear your opinion and how much focus should I be giving to boards because that's where the stream choice lies in
