Is the E16 Gen 3 really that bad?

Hey everyone. I am looking at laptops for college (engineering), and the E16 G3 stood out, as it is currently on sale for 1080 USD. It has an intel 255h, 16gb ddr5, and the arc 140t gpu (which is the recommended graphics capability). Everyone i have asked says that the E series is absolute trash because of their build quality. The t series at the same price point only has a 226v and xe2 igpu, which isnt enough according to college. Is it worth buying the E16? TIA
