Looking for cosy escapist reads with strong female characters

The news cycle has been pretty overwhelming lately and I’ve been finding myself wanting books that feel warm, hopeful, and a bit like a safe place to disappear into for a while. So I’m looking for cosy reads with strong female characters and preferably no or little violence/war.

Ideally something with a capable or interesting female protagonist, a story that isn’t relentlessly grim or depressing, good atmosphere/worldbuilding, and comforting vibes (think found family, small communities, magical settings).

Fantasy is probably my favourite for this, but I’m open to anything really if it has that comforting feel. For reference, books like The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches or similar cosy fantasy settings seem like they might fit the vibe I’m looking for but very open for out there suggestions.

TLDR: Basically I just want something absorbing with a great female lead that lets me forget about the state of the world for a bit.TIA!!
