Preserving figures

From a natural lighting perspective what do you do to best preserve your figures? At the moment i have curtains in my figure room closed most of the time with, when i work their, only indirect natural light sometimes. When the sun is at the point it will shine directly in the room i close everything up allways.

Are there people using UV film on windows or just closing everything so it’s dark?
