Fidelity hiring radius

I interviewed at Fidelity last year and they wouldn’t hire me because if I recall correctly, they hire within a 60 mile radius of their office and I was 62 miles away. Meanwhile other people I know who work there that live in the same town as me but are in the radius.

More jobs have opened up I’m interested in, are there any recent hires or recruiters who can verify if this radius is still a rule or if exceptions can be made? I’d be willing to make the additional drive for the whopping 2 mile difference.
