I lost my dad, my uncle and my nan. I built something because nowhere online felt right to remember them.

I'm not really sure how to write this.

My dad died a few years ago. My uncle and my nan died in January, two weeks apart. My uncle lived on the Isle of Wight. I'm in Devon.

I kept looking for somewhere to put them online. Somewhere that didn't move. Every memorial site I found felt temporary or like it was designed by someone who had never actually lost anyone. Social media felt wrong. Everything felt wrong.

So I built something.

It's called The Bridge of Lights. It's a bridge with a million candle spaces on it. Each one is a name, some years, a few words. No algorithm. No timeline. No ads. No social feed. Just their light, there, whenever you need to find it.

My dad is on there. My uncle. My nan. My family on the Isle of Wight can visit it. I can visit it from Devon. Anyone who loved them can find their light from wherever they are.

I spoke to people working in grief and bereavement before I launched it because I wanted to make sure it genuinely helped and didn't cause harm. They shaped it more than I expected.

I don't really have a big speech about it. I just thought if you're here, you've probably lost someone too. And you might want to know it exists.
