Variable save / restore from file

Is there a way to store the value of the variable "freq1" used in QT-GUI-SLIDER to a file and restore it the next time the flowchart is run, so it starts when it stopped last time? If I create a flow-graph like in the screenshots, I have a problem with a cyclic dependency where "freq1" depends on the slider value and at the same time needs to represent the default slider value and the flow graph does not work.
